Deputy Head / Room Leader

£23,500 pa

37 hours per week

This Central London setting is an outstanding pre-school and day nursery based in NW1. Providing creative and loving day care for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

We are looking for an outstanding experienced professional to lead our Baby Unit (3 months to 2 years), who is committed to providing the very best for young children and who wants to help maintain our vision of excellence.

You will be responsible for a room of apprx. 15 children and manage 3 full time staff.

Applicants must have:

• minimum of 2 years experience specialising in teaching 0 to 2 year olds
• at least 1 year at senior level (room leader or senior)
• experience of managing staff
• minimum qualification of NNEB or Level 3 in childcare or equivalent

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POST:

• To take responsibility for the leadership, planning, delivery and monitoring of the programme of care and education for children in the Baby Unit.
• To supervise staff within the Baby Unit.
• To deputise for the Director when necessary.
