Calling all Managers or experience Deputy Managers. My client is looking for a Manager to manage their brand new Young Peoples service in Ollerton, supporting 4 young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties, and learning disabilities aged 10-18 years of age. This is an ideal position for a very experienced deputy looking for the next step or an experienced manager looking for a new and exciting challenge.

Managing a brand new service based in North Nottinghamshire, supporting 4 young people with Learning disabilties in a residential setting. Managing a staff team in a friendly and motivated environment. As the manager you will be required to work 37 hours per week but have the flexibility to work additional hours if the service requires it. As the manager your main responsibilities will include – staff development and training,ensuring confidentiality is upheld, maintaining effective relationships with staff, and ensuring the health and safety and the welfare of others. Working for a client with a number of Childrens Mainstream Residential Services, you will be the Manager of their first Young Peoples service specialising in the provision of Care for Young People with Learning disabilities, their plan is to purchase new services within this specialism so excellent career opportunities may arise which would result in promotion for the right person. The suitable candidate must have – a proven track record in management – either as a very experienced deputy manager or manager, have the ability to manage and monitor staff members, hold an NVQ4 or equilavent in Social Care or Registered Managers award. The post holder may be responsible for becoming a registered Manager with Ofsted so you will need to demonstrate you are a ‘fit person; through the registration and interview process. The post holder must have a minimum of 3 years experience in management within a learning disability/EBD setting within young peoples residential services. You must have extensive knowledge of the Childrens Act and Every Child Matters and have a working knowledge of child protection.
