Reception Class Teaching Assistant Job, Greenwich, London
This Primary School based in Lewisham, London is seeking a level 3 Nursery Nurse to work as a Teaching Assistant in the Nursery class on an ongoing temporary basis contract. This modern School in South East London has a strong sense of community and a specialist Foundation Stage Unit.
The children in this School especially children from the Foundation stage have good literacy skills so in particular the school prides itself on maintaining this standard. Teaching assistants will lead focussed activities that stimulate the children’s 6 areas of learning and development. The school is looking for somebody who can engage the children for e.g. reading during story time, and be positive and encouraging towards the children.
Teaching Assistants within the Early Years Foundation Stage work very closely as part of a team and as such, candidates wishing to apply for this nursery class teaching assistant job must be an active team player and show flexibility in their work ethic. You must be familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Curriculum and be willing to work with the schools ethos.
To be considered for this Teaching Assistant Job in Lewisham, London you will:
- Be Qualified to CACHE/Â NVQ in Childcare and Education Level 3/ NNEB equivalent
- Have a minimum of 3 months experience in the last 2 years within an early years setting
- Have a good understanding of EYFS
