You should be able to work alongside all partners in the scheme to develop an inclusive and effective, high quality learning and teaching approach, including work with families.
To develop a strategy with key partners in the children’s center to ensure a consistent and coherent framework for the early years provision in line with a vision of achieving excellent outcomes for young children and their families.
To work for the majority of time directly with young children modeling excellent practice so that the children achieve well in all areas of their development including their social, emotional, physical and intellectual well being.

Evidence of working in partnership with parents and other professionals to support the development and education al achievement of young children.
Evidence of participation in and commitment to a team approach.
Detailed knowledge of current developments in pedagogy, the curriculum and assessment in the EYFS.
An understanding of the issues relating to the continuity of children’s learning from the EYFS to Key stage 1.
Detailed knowledge and understanding of the significance of learning and teaching through play in the early years.
Knowledge and understanding of successful strategies for countering inequality and a commitment and a commitment to equal opportunities.
Practical knowledge and experience of working within legislative frameworks such as SEN Code of Practice.
Ability to model effective learning and teaching within the EYFS.

Qualified teacher recognised by the DCSF
A proven record of at least 3 years teaching experience with children with the age range of birth to five years.
Experience of delivering professional development within own setting.
Aware of OFSTED Welfare requirements.

  • Nursery Team Leader in Chiswick

    A fantastic opportunity has come up for an experienced Team Leader to work in the West London area with the under 2’s. The nursery is located in a quiet residential area of Chiswick, and is well-established with a friendly and happy environment. The nursery has two rooms that cater for the under 2’s. The position requires you to be based as the Room Leader in one of the rooms, whilst taking on a supervisory role in the other.

    The opening hours of the nursery are 7:30 am – 6:15 pm and the position will require you to work a 40 hour week, on a shift rota basis.

    The nursery has been established since 2001 and operates from a converted house which can cater for up to 88 children at any one time. The setting prides itself on providing childcare which is of the highest quality and standards. The nursery has four main playrooms for individual age groups, each with a separate sleeping area, along with a creative outdoor play area which is both stimulating and secure. There are many of the original features that still remain in the property to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class childcare facilities.

    The ideal candidate for a Room Leader will have:

    • A Level 3 qualification or equivalent
    • A minimum of 3 years experience working with children
    • Proven leadership skills.
    • A strong ability to plan activities along with excellent understanding of the EYFS.
    • The capability to work under pressure and in a very busy environment.

    Your responsibilities will be to:

    • Support staff in your team.
    • Meet children’s needs on day-to-day basis
    • Carry out observations and write reports.
    • Liaise with parents and other staff.
    • Assess risks.
    • Ensure high levels of practice are met.
