Nursery Manager – Middlesex

A great role of a dynamic manager who is able to manage and lead a large team and other nursery managers.

This is a role which would be most suited to an experienced nursery manager who has or is keen to work in a busy vibrant environment.

You will need be some who has a real ability to offer structure, focus to the staff and setting with a real ability to achieve.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent

  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills

Head of Nursery Term Time – Notting Hill

This is a fantastic role for a Head of nursery to lead a team of experienced childcare professionals.

As the Nursery Head you will be responsible in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running and administration of the nursery, provide a safe and caring environment for the children in the nursery’s care, to ensure that activities planned for the children are appropriate and cover all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. You will need to manage all aspects of the nursery and ensure all tasks carried out adherence to policies and procedures of the Nursery and in compliance with the Children Act, Health and Safety legislation, Ofsted requirements and regulations, and any other guidelines which protect children’s welfare.

Educational/Qualifications

Essential:

  • EYFS qualification to at least Level 3.
  • Excellent standard of general education

Desirable:

  • PGCE/EYPS – or working towards same
  • First Aid Qualification,
  • Food Hygiene Qualification

Experience and Achievements (including voluntary work)

Essential:

  • Several years relevant experience (with nursery management experience)
  • Excellent communications skills and interpersonal skills
  • Supervisory experience
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage
  • Ability to plan appropriate activities and to deal effectively with concerns or changes
  • Willingness to up-date childcare knowledge regularly by attending training sessions
  • Knowledge of the Children’s Act and Safeguarding Children procedures
  • Office organisation and computer skills.
