Au-Pair Required for a Lovely Family

Au-pair required for a lovely family with an 9 year old boy and a 7 year old girl. The boy likes swimming, reading and has lots of energy. The girl also likes to swim and does ballet and is very creative. Ideally they are looking for someone who has some experience of looking after school aged children and who is a non-smoker with a good command of English and enjoys cooking and can prepare healthy, nutritional meals. Working hours: 35 hours per week, 7 hours a day from Monday to Friday and two nights babysitting a week (one of which might be at the weekend, by prior agreement). During term-time the hours are likely to be 7am – 8.45am and 1.15pm – 6.30pm so the Aupair will be free in the mornings to attend college or do other things. During the school holidays the hours are likely to be 8.15am – 3.15pm with any additional time worked to be paid extra. The duties would include light housework, emptying the dishwasher, cleaning up after meals, emptying the bins, putting the rubbish out and doing the laundry (but not the ironing) and weekly shopping and running errands. The family needs a competent, confident driver and a manual car will be provided during working hours. There will be shared care and sole charge depending on the time of day and whether the children are on holiday from school. The family has a cleaner who also does all of the family’s ironing, so these duties would not be included. The Aupair will have own bedroom and a bathroom with a separate shower (shared with the children).
