Our client is a 40 place Charity funded Day Nursery and they are looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to continue and maintain the high levels of child care.

This role requires someone who is focused on delivering the very best standards of care with a sensitive and professional approach to his/her work. You will need to be an experienced nursery manager or a very experienced deputy manager.

You will need to hold a NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent

You will also possess excellent organisational skills with the abilty to effectivly work to targets and deadlines alike.

You will be required to have an excellent knowledge of legislation, EYFS framework and Offstead.

The nursery are looking for a nursery nurse who has experience working in a similar setting with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience. This nursery is well established within the local community and has a happy and friendly environment and has been managed to an exceptional standard.

The primary purpose of the position is to work as a member of the nursery team showing initiative and creativity to foster an environment which encourages the children’s all round development and where high standards of care are provided.

The main duties and responsibilities of the position will include;

  • An understanding that each child is an individual with a good understanding of the Every Child Matters ethos
  • A good working knowledge of the EYFS framework with an understanding of the principles of the EYFS framework.
  • Ensure the positive management of children’s behaviour
  • Attend staff meetings and training as required
  • An understanding of the role of a key person/worker’s
  • A sound understanding of safeguarding procedures
  • Developing positive relationships with parents/guardians other staff and outside agencies
  • Experience of working in a full day care setting
  • A sound knowledge and understanding of the EYFS framework and understand the principles of the EYFS.
  • An understanding of the role of Key person/workers
  • Good communication skills both written and verbally
  • Skills working within a team
  • A sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Good behaviour management
