Deputy Nursery Manager

Level 4 Qualified Nursery Manager with extensive SEN experience

This well-established Children’s Centre situated in Tunbridge Wells is looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a successful centre and to be part of a team that prides itself on their high standards and commitment to promoting Early Years.

You will need to be dedicated and enthusiastic with the ability to use your own initiative.

Assisted by the nursery team already in place, your core responsibility will be to ensure continuing high quality childcare within a fun, stimulating and caring environment.

With overall responsibility for all aspects of running the nursery, your main duties will include:

A strong experience of children with Special Educational Needs is essential and proof of this will be required.

The skills we look for in the candidate are:

. Qualified Management Level 4 Status either NVQ, Btec or similar

  • All aspects of staffing: performance management, attendance patterns, recruitment, development, training
  • Experience of supporting SEN pupils
  • Strong management skills

Flexible and adaptable approach to work

Willingness to promote learning

Development of EYFS curriculum

Carry out Health and Safety risk assessments

Knowledge of the High Scope curriculum a must.

Must be able to assist disabled children – manual handling qualification essential

You must have Ofsted regulation knowledge and have had experience of managing staff ratios .
