Nursery Manager

A Nursery School based in Wanstead are looking to recruit an experienced Manager, who has been or is ready for their next challenge.

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a BA Degree in Early Childhood studies or equivalent
  • Have experience of managing a large Early Years setting
  • Be competent in administration tasks, such as devising staff rotas and appraisals, basic accounting for the nursery etc
  • Respond to all contact by parents, staff or external agencies in an effective and timely manner
  • Maintain records of attendance
  • File all paperwork systematically
  • Ensure the nursery meets all objectives
  • Possess the enthusiasm and motivation to make a success of this role
  • Also hold an Ofsted Certificate

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
  • Previous relevant supervisory experience
