Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant

Hays Education are currently working with a large, well established school in Small Heath, who are looking to recruit a Teaching Assistants to work within Foundation Stage and Year 2.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

You will be supporting the Class Teacher assisting with the organisation and preparation of classroom resources in accordance with lesson plans and assist pupils in their use. You will be expected to maintain pupil records and gather information as required. The promotion of good pupil behaviour, dealing with incidents in-line with the schools policies and reporting difficulties as appropriate. Supporting the needs of pupils is essential for this role. You will be expected to provide 1:1 support for pupils as needed; promoting self-esteem, encouraging pupils to act independently and support academic and personal development. The promotion of inclusion in-line with the Every Child Matters Agenda is extremely important as well as the ability to establish good relationships with pupils, staff and parents.

SKILLS NEEDED:

6 months experience of working in a school environment

Good Numeracy and Literacy Skills

Ability to relate well to children and adults

Work constructively as part of a team

Working alongside children with SEN/behavioural difficulties is desirable

Experience of working with phonics would be advantageous

An Early Years Qualification to Level 3 standard

High Profile Family Require Top Nanny Housekeeper

High profile family based in Barnet are looking for a full time live in nanny housekeeper for their home, the general hours of the role will be from Monday to Saturday from 8am – 7pm and you must be flexible. The family have one child aged 6 months – mum is at home full time but you must have excellent sole charge experience with children. The role will be mainly housekeeping with sole charge of the general laundry and ironing, the family are also looking for someone who is a excellent cook and who can cook for up to 6 people in the evenings. The family also have one dog who will need walking and feeding daily. The role is due to start as soon as possible and the family offer a separate private room and en suite bathroom in the home. You must have a minimum of 5 years full time professional experience in the UK and speak excellent English – you must also be able to travel freely outside of the UK with the family when required

Room Leader Nursery Nurse

A fantastic opportunity has arisen in a nursery in Redland. They are recruiting for a baby room leader to start at the beginning of January.

They nursery has recently changed owners and under gone a complete transformation and is owned by another very successful nursery in the Cotham area. The nursery has a good size outdoor play area and caters for up to 45 children aged 0 to 5 years old. They nursery is a good size with ample room for the children to learn and play.

The ideal candidate would be mature and have some previous senior experience while working in a nursery setting. You must have a NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification in childcare to be considered for the post. Ideally you will be a highly motivated personally and able to pass this onto your team, initiative and organised. You will be managing a small team of varied experience so subject knowledge and proven leadership skills are key.
