Experienced PMLD Teacher

A largely popular Profound and Multiple learning difficulty specialist school in South West London are looking to appoint an experienced PMLD teacher to teach students for both primary and secondary aged students. The position is to start in September and will run over the autumn term with a view to possibly becoming permanent.

The schools caters for children aged from 3-18 meeting the needs for a range of children with autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties. It has just been given a grant to extend and upgrade its facilities, and is the process of completing these works by 2011. It’s very accessible by both car and public transport.

Applicants must have experience and knowledge of working within Special Educational Needs. You will also need to have experience in;

•Working with Autistic children
•Profound and Multiple learning difficulties
•Knowledge of PEC’s & Makaton would be an advantage.

  • To lead the team in your room, providing day to day guidance for your staff where needed
