Excellent opportunity to join a setting which is opening a new Baby Room. We are looking for an experienced Room Leader with significant experience of working with the Babies and Toddlers. You must be fully qualified with NVQ3 or equivalent and very knowledgeable with EYFS.

Your duties will include -

Provide quality day care to the children and ensure that they are safe, loved, stimulated and well cared for.

Responsible for planning and carrying out observation and assessments and writing reports using the EYFS framework

Ensuring that my room is a safe and secure environment which provides a wide range of activities for the children. Ensuring the staff are performing their duties and delivering a high standard of childcare.

Guide and support all staff, ensuring they plan for the children within the Early Years framework.

Responsible for developing strong relationships with parents and other childcare professionals.

Preparing the Nursery for marketing events and parents evening

Being available for Parents evenings, providing detailed feedback to parents about their children.

Working closely with the Nursery Manager to constantly review and improve the service offering for the benefit of the children

Full support and guidance will be provided by the manager and this is a real opportunity to put you own mark on the room and implement your own ideas.

Long Term Temporary – NURSERY MANAGER (South West London)

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Nursery Manager to work in a nursery setting, from 4th January 2010 to 27th August 2010.

A minimum level 3 qualification in Childcare is required.

The position is on a long term temporary basis. The nursery is open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work 37.5 hours per week on a rota basis consisting of two shifts, 7.30am to 4pm and 9.30am to 6pm.

The Nursery Manager is responsible to the Deputy Director of Student Services and their main duties will include:

  • Responsibility for the daily running and administration of the nursery. This will include, report writing, staff rota and holiday planning, producing parent letters and maintaining staff ratios
  • Keeping and monitoring accident, incident and risk assessment records
  • Ensuring confidentiality is maintained in the nursery
  • Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background
  • Supervision of staff, conducting regular staff assessments and one to ones – Also providing practical cover and assistance where necessary
  • Care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs
  • Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child’s individual development in a stimulating atmosphere. Ensuring observation records are thorough and well maintained
  • Ensuring that the preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the nursery playrooms, kitchen and equipment are carried out to high standard
  • Liaising with parents and dealing with any queries over observations and reports from their child’s key worker
  • Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Deputy Director of Student Services

Early Years Practitioner – Hounslow

The position is on a full-time permanent basis, with the nursery open between 9am & 6pm, Monday to Friday, for children aged 0 to 5 years old.
