Learning Support / Academic Coach- Subject Specialism

Hays Education currently have a Learning Support Assistant / Academic Coach vacancy, working in the Dartford area of Kent. We are looking for Learning Support Assistants with proven subject knowledge, A level or of graduate calibre to cover a long term position in a secondary school based in West Kent.

You will be working on a one to one basis with secondary school pupils, observing strategies and techniques, making observations and suggest changes to approach whilst providing encouragement as you look to implement new ways of learning.

The skills we look for in our Learning Support Assistants / Academic Coaches include:

  • Have solid subject knowledge – A level or University graduate
  • 4 Months experience of learning support work in the last 2 years is essential
  • Strong classroom management skills
  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work
  • Willingness to promote learning
  • Innovative and resourceful learning support methods
  • Own transport is preferable but public transport is no bar to work
  • A Level qualified with experience of working one to one with pupils in an educational setting is essential.

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Nursery Practitioner to take a Deputy Manager’s position in a lovely, homely Nursery.

This position is based with the Babies and would suit an experienced Room Leader. This Deputy Manager’s position will allow you the opportunity to take on more Senior responsibilities such as budgeting, staff recruitment and training. You will need to have a good understanding of how to manage a staff team, the ability to multi-task and manage your own workload.

  • Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities.
