You will need to work with an established team and some of your duties will include -
To observe and record what children do: to assess the children’s progress and to assist in planning the next steps in the children’s learning.

To provide a stimulating range and balance of activities which help children make progress in all areas of their development

To ensure children are involved in a broad range of activities which support their language, mathematical thinking, imagination and creative learning

To ensure children make decisions, explore and investigate and relate to others.

To ensure children are involved interested and enjoy their play.

To show an active interest in what the children say and do by talking to and listening to them; by asking questions to make them think; by responding to their interests; and by praising and encouraging them

To work in partnership with the parents to provide a positive learning environment for all children regardless of race, culture, religion or background.

Duties:

To ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Montessori room.
To ensure the Montessori philosophy is followed and enhanced at all times.
To ensure the welfare of the children in your care and act as a role model for the organisation with the parents.
To keep the Nursery Manager informed of any issues as they arise.

Required Experience and Essential Knowledge/Skills:

Newly Qualified, Partly Qualified or Experienced Montessori Teacher with a Qualification from a recognized Montessori provider
