Travelling with the family for about two weeks per week and driving an automatic car are also required. A fluent Portuguese speaking daily housekeeper-nanny is required for a Portuguese family with a 4 year old boy. You will be happy to take sole charge or to share care with Mum. There is a part-time housekeeper employed, so you will be sharing cleaning duties of the 4 bedroom, 4 level house. You’ll be responsible for the family laundry and ironing, and also cooking healthy nursery meals every day and family dinner once or twice a week. You will have the initiative to organise play dates, notice when jobs need doing and household essentials need replacing. You will also enjoy teaching manners and encouraging tidiness, as part of the boy’s development.

You will need to speak Portuguese to native level, have an automatic driving license and be a confident London driver. You will also be a good, healthy cook, with the ability to cook simple family meals and extra for the freezer. You will be able to travel with the family for about two weeks per year, to the USA and Europe, including Portugal. You will also be able to work the occasional late night, babysit once a week and work sometimes work Saturdays, by prior arrangement. In return, the family offer a friendly work environment, a great salary and a handover period with Mum, so that you get to know the household routine.

Part time live out child friendly cook is needed for a family that has recently relocated to London from the UK. They have 5 ½ year old twin girls who are fairly independent already but this person will need to be happy to do some childcare as well as to cook family meals for two adults and two children – this does not have to be anything too fancy, just the usual healthy meals (mum is happy to work out the weekly menu to be followed but is also happy for the person to come up with own ideas). This would suit a young culinary student or chef who is looking for extra evening job but they are also happy to consider an unqualified cook who has done this type of role before. Well known high profile client of ours is looking for a weekend help with their three children – 7 years old boy, 5 years old girl and 3 years old girl. This is a combination of childcare and some housework such as preparing breakfast and sometimes lunch for the children, cleaning up the kitchen after meals, perhaps running the hoover over the floors (this is a small apartment over 1 level, 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms only!). The family employs a full time housekeeper and a nanny who both work Monday – Friday and get most of the work done so the weekend person would only need to keep the place tidy and focus on the children – this would be a mixture of shared care with the parents who might take one or two of the children out whilst the nanny looks after the rest. Flexibility is the key. Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience (ie more duties can be given to a brilliant housekeeper/cook or more childcare to a professional nanny/tutor). The role is currently open to different duties – they are looking for the right person to fit in! Either way, ideal candidate will be someone the children can have fun with! Fluent English (or German) speaker is required. CRB check and fantastic references essential! Start ASAP!
