Muscat, Oman: Once in a lifetime opportunity for a lovely, committed, professional nanny who loves children, travel and adventure. Long term position with lovely English professional family relocating to live by the sea in beautiful Muscat, Oman. The family is looking to recruit another team member who can add to their happy busy family life. Primarily helping with our children, but also doing whatever is necessary. Caring for three adorable little ladies aged 4, 4 and 3 years old and 2 dogs that are very much part of the family. Lovely separate accommodation. Use of car on and off duty. Working 6 flexible days, approx. 12 hours per day. Start End of August 2011, trial in the UK June/ July. £650-£800 a week, depending on exp & qual tax free
This crème de la crème position has a salary to match. The ideal candidate doesn’t necessarily have all the right qualifications, but does have experience, a mature attitude and the independence to relocate abroad whilst being fully supported by their new family. They are looking for someone who has a fun loving positive outlook, a good sense of humour and who respects the adventure of new cultures and social environments and loves worldwide travel.
You will be a well-spoken and well-presented person with English as your first language. You will be an experienced confident driver, a good swimmer, a good cook and a non-smoker. You must be CRB checked, or can organise. Experience of tutoring or teaching at primary school level would be a bonus. You will be a kind, caring, proactive individual who can take complete charge or share responsibility. You will work on your own initiative, be organised, reliable, adaptable and flexible and have a good work ethic. Experience of working in a staffed house would be helpful.
You will have your own separate accommodation, use of a car, 4 weeks paid holiday, worldwide travel with family and a top wage of between £650-£800 a week, depending on experience. There is no income tax payable in Oman. The position is 6 days a week including babysitting and occasional overnights when required. Excellent professional references are essential. There will be lots of international travel with the family including to the UK.
