Nursery Nurse/ Assistant required
An urgent vacancy has arisen for a Nursery practitioner in an Islington Nursery. You will be working with the Babies and will ideally have previous experience working with this age group.
Preferably you will be qualified to Level 3 or higher in Early Years, but this Nursery does offer training so Unqualified or Level 2 qualified applicants will also be considered, as long as you show a strong desire and willingness to further your childcare training. Salary is reflective of experience and qualifications.
You will be a key worker to a small group of children, monitoring their progress and keeping their parents informed. You will be responsible for contributing to the planning, working well as part of the team and ensuring you model good practice at all times.
You must be enthusiastic, understand how to ensure the needs of the children are met and enjoy developing strong bonds with parents.

If you are unqualified, you must have recent experience in a professional childcare setting to be considered for this role.
Qualified, experienced applicants will be eligible for the higher end of the salary scale.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
- To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team in your room reflective of the EYFS
- To work in partnership with the parents
- To follow all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
- To work as part of a team
You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
- Ideally qualified to NVQ Level 2, 3 or equivalent
- Have experience of working with children
