The successful Nursery Manager will oversee the day-to-day operation of the Coventry-based nursery (registered for 100 children), whilst also supporting their smaller 50-place site. Candidates must have experience of Early Years management, in particular marketing and maintaining occupancy levels.

You will need to be dedicated and enthusiastic with the ability to use your own initiative.

Assisted by the nursery team already in place, your core responsibility will be to ensure continuing high quality childcare within a fun, stimulating and caring environment.

Essential skills:

• Qualified Management Level 4 Status either NVQ, Btec or similar
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work and willingness to promote learning
• A secure knowledge of all current relevant legislation and guidance, in conjunction with a clear understanding of the quality indicators.
• Experience of staff management as the suitable candidate will be responsible for staff recruitment and retention.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development is important, with attendance at Manager’s Briefings and training sessions a requirement of the role
• Experience working in collaboration with the Finance team on Payroll and budgeting as the candidate will be responsible for the calculation and collection of fees
• Experience of liaising with external agencies, in particular working in partnership with Early Years and Childcare Service to ensure quality provision is offered

Desirable skills:

• BA Early Childhood Studies
