This friendly playgroup are looking for a Lunch Club Supervisor to work from 11.30am-1.30pm each day and for an extra hour one day a week – a total of 11 hours a week.
Your duties will include:
- To ensure that the lunch area is set up safely and appropriately
- To tidy away at the end of the session and to ensure that the kitchen and other areas are clean and tidy ensuring that all toys and equipment are clean and safe at all times
- To carry out daily risk assessments
- To supervise children during their lunch break
- To liaise closely with the playgroup leader on the management of the lunch club
- To ensure that children are given appropriate opportunities for rest and relaxation during the lunch club
- To advise the playgroup leader of any concerns e/g/ over children, child protection, parents/carers or the safety of equipment preserving confidentiality as necessary
- To be aware of any special needs a child may have and to make adjustments as necessary
- To attend staff meetings
- To attend in service training courses as required
- To keep completely confidential any information regarding the children, their families or other staff which is acquired as part of the job
- To keep up to date with current good practice
- To undertake any other reasonable duties as directed by the play leader in accordance with the playgroup business plan and objectives
You must hold a level 3 in childcare and a food & hygiene certificate.
They are successful candidate will have experience working with young children and strong and solid commitment to young children and families & an friendly, flexible approach.
This post is for 11 hours per week, term time only with 4.7 week paid holiday. The role is due to start in September.
