A special federation in Manchester, for KS1/2 pupils with Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties ( EBD ), requires a resilient and passionate KS2 teacher. The scheme supports pupils between Years 3 and 6. Their aim is to reintegrate the pupils back into mainstream education as well as improve their academic levels.
The ideal candidate must have strong behaviour management and possess a compassionate understanding of the socio-economic reasons that have impacted on the lives of the pupils. They must feel comfortable to teach to a varied age range and to pupils with lower P-levels than their mainstream peers. Ideally the school requires a KS2 Teacher with experience of working with EBD pupils. Above all they must have a force of personality that is able to hold the pupils attention and provide the stability and nurture they need.
In this role you will be supported by highly experienced LSA’s, who provide excellent support in this challenging and stimulating environment. Therefore it is essential that in this position you are a team player as well as a team leader.
