Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant Job, Southwark, London
This Primary School in Southwark is looking for an early years teaching assistant to work within the EYFS in the reception class. This job is due to start after the October 2011 half term and is until the end of the academic year.
This outstanding primary school is looking for somebody who has a sound knowledge of the early years foundation stage curriculum and can work as part of the early years team.
Your duties will involve leading activities with children, working with them on a small group basis and providing 1:1 support. You will be responsible for 8 key children and carry out focussed observations on them and report back to the class teacher on these children during the early years planning meetings.
You will support the class teacher in delivering a stimulating and happy learning environment for the children involving planning, carrying out observations and monitoring development. You will need to combine your early years experience with knowledge of Letters and Sounds, which is essential for this role. You should be confident with phonics and able to support literacy development.

To be considered for this Early Years Teaching Assistant Job in Southwark you will: * Have a minimum of 3 months experience working as a teaching assistant in early years
- Be qualified to Level 3 in Early Years (UK recognised qualification)
- Have good understanding and experience of the EYFS
