A Children Centre located in Brent are seeking an interim Manager. The Centre offers a range of services i.e. health, early education, training, advice and family learning for parents/carers with children under 5 years.
The centre provides integrated care and education for 49 children (9 babies and 40 children 2-5yrs). The children who attend this centre come from diverse backgrounds and have a range of abilities.
Purpose of the job:
To promote and develop integrated education and daycare services.
To offer high quality services for young children and their parents/carers.
Duration: December- April 2010 approx
To apply for this post you will need to poses the following:
- A childcare qualification NVQ level 3 or above.
- A minimum of 3 years post qualifying experience working with children from 0-5yrs.
- Evidence of a minimum of 3 years experience in a senior management role in a similar setting.
- Evidence of leadership and the necessary skills to successfully manage the curriculum and staff.
- An understanding of Child Protection/Safeguarding procedures and the ability to use these in practice.
- The ability to relate easily to children, staff, parents and other agencies
The job is on a temp to permanent basis which offers a salary of £15 – £18 per hour depending on qualification and experience. There are other benefits offered including career development training, and generous holiday allowance.
