We are currently seeking experienced Cover Supervisors to work in Secondary Schools across the High Wycombe area.
As a Cover Supervisor you will be working under the guidance of teaching staff, implementing work programmes with whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers.

Cover Supervisor Responsibilities include:

• To supervise students during the short-term(up to 3 days) absence of a member of the teaching staff
• To take an accurate register of students for each lesson
• To introduce the work set by the absent teacher, or by the Head of Department, and ensure that it is completed in an acceptable environment
• To guide and support students during the completion of work
• To liaise with teachers before planned absences over the work set
• To manage student behaviour so that the class is orderly and on task
• To operate and enforce school systems of praise, discipline and daily organisation
• Cover supervisors will be allocated to departments and, if not required for cover or invigilation, will provide general administrative support for those departments, or provide in-class support

Cover Supervisor Person Specification:

Work experience with secondary aged pupils will be an advantage, as will curriculum knowledge of core subjects. It is essential that the suitable candidate will have proven behaviour/classroom management experience and skills.
Good interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills
Candidates should hold one of the following qualifications: a degree, a PGCE in FE, be an Overseas Qualified Teacher of TEFL Teacher
