The position is a room based senior role within working with all the ages(0-5 years) where you will have the responsibility of managing up to 6 members of staff in total.

Ideally you will have had experience of being in post as a Third in Charge or Deputy manager.

The following qualifications, experience and training is required:

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent
• Post qualifying experience and also Senior experience
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work deadlines
• Knowledge and experience of the EYFS cirriculum
• Good communication skills

You must be able to demonstrate a through understanding of the EYFS Framework and have supervisory experience as well as at least 3 years experience after qualification. Your Key Responsibilities may include -

Act as Head of the Baby unit responsible for all of the day to day functioning
Ensure your staff team provide high standards of care for the children.
Lead planning for the EYFS curriculum and maintain accurate records.
Ensure that your staff team are always aware of each child’s individual needs and that all children are kept safe and that the staff understand, and follow Child Protection Procedures.
Support the staff and supervise the staff with their day to day duties.
Be responsible for participating in all self-development activities including appraisals and supervisions.
Meet with the manager on a regular basis and report on individual children and staff
Meet with parents
Interview new staff with the manager
