Our Client is a large modern purpose built Nursery in Wembley, they are looking for an ambitious and “switched-on” Level 3 Nursery Nurse with the ability to supervise 2 room leaders for the Under 2’s department.

Purpose of role:

To provide safe, high quality care and education for children in the rooms of which you are esponsible, delivering Care and Education standards that achieve at least a Good rating from Ofsted To ensure the health, safety and wellbeing of all children & staff in the rooms of which you are responsible, supporting this across the nursery To supervise, guide and direct staff on a day to day basis To ensure a high quality curriculum is offered to each child in your care To implement nursery policies & procedures

Key responsibilities:

To provide a high quality of care, ensuring that staff are properly deployed and offer appropriate timulation and support to the children

To supervise and regularly review the daily programme of activities and events for children ensuring children’s interests are maintained and through observation their next step is being planned for within the curriculum

To have a sound understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework and plan for children’s development and requirements in conjunction with this framework

Previous room leader experience is preffered.

  • To effectively manage the budget and occupancy levels to ensure the nursery is profitable
  • To ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To Implement an effective parent liaison program

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • 3 years’ post-qualification experience and 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities
