Sloane Sq, SW1X: Professional, qualified, educationally focussed Governess required to teach boy of 3 ½ yrs. Monday to Friday, 7- 10hrs per day. £450- £550 net per week neg on qual and exp.

Caring, patient, educationally focussed governess is required to teach and tutor a young boy of 3 ½ yrs. The boy does attend nursery and the governess’s duties will be to educate him outside of this environment by organising and taking him to museums, exhibitions, etc. Also introducing him to grammar, reading and writing will be the governess’ duty before he attends school in September. After he is at full time school the duties will also include homework support. The hours are flexible and will be guaranteed by mutual agreement for the right candidate. Some travel may be required and the hours will be longer in the school holidays. Mum is also due to have another baby, who will have it’s own maternity nurse. The position is located about a 5 min walk from the Sloane Square tube station. Mum would like to start interviewing now but can wait for the right person.

This position would suit a Montessori Teacher who is passionate about combining Montessori Practice with the EYFS curriculum, to ensure all children reach their potential.

A Montessori childcare qualification is desirable, but not essential, as long as you have an understanding of the Montessori method and a recognised childcare qualification.

  • To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
  • To lead your team in order for them to plan, prepare and review the curriculum as a team reflective of the EYFS

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • Montessori Teacher’s qualification or Level 3 childcare qualification
  • Have experience of working with children in a Montessori Nursery

Deputy Nursery Manager

  • To effectively manage the budget and occupancy levels to ensure the nursery is profitable
  • To ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To Implement an effective parent liaison program

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • 3 years’ post-qualification experience and 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities
