Regional Nursery Manager

Rare and Exciting opportunity for a Regional Manager!

This is an exciting role to join a focused organisation to become the market leader in childcare standards and market ownership.

The role would be very suited to a very experienced nursery manager or a regional manager looking for career progression and wanting to join a team of senior managers and influence decisions to help a company achieve business objectives. The location for this role requires someone who is flexible with travel and able to manage nurseries covering both Suffolk and the Essex regions. This role is a strategic which requires the individual to be proactive and forward thinking, you will be contributing to the overall progression of a group of nurseries.

You will be responsible for overseeing the business and childcare management of a portfolio of nurseries, ensuring commercial success in line with the company’s vision and values. Driving the Nursery Managers in delivering a quality childcare service which is compliant with the OFSTED standards, meets customer’s expectations and maximizes opportunities to attract potential service users. You must provide strong leadership skills so that all are clear about what is expected of them and to create a momentum to realise the goals and targets for the portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a diverse staff team
  • Customer services – Customer relations & satisfaction, customer attraction and retention
  • Business management – To ensure all nurseries within your portfolio achieve financial targets, manage operating costs and ensure viability and profitability

The successful person for the role will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • The job holder must be experienced to effectively manage the financial and commercial aspects of a multi site business.
  • Must have relevant management experience in a customer related business and a sound knowledge of the national standards for day care. The job holder will also be required to have a sound knowledge of the children’s act.
  • The job holder must be PC literate
  • Must have a clean driving license as the job holder will be operating in a mobile environment.
  • The job holder must have strong management and leadership skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload in a dynamic and growing business.
  • Good financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets across a multi site business
  • Good numerical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse monthly management information including sales and occupancy targets
  • Must have people management experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to analyse management information and identify key trends, issues

You will work within overall business objectives, procedures, and legal framework but will have a high degree of autonomy on how these are implemented and managed within their portfolio. Friendly, informal family based in a lovely area of Hampstead, close to parks etc are looking for a confident, developmentally focused, happy, fun and creative nanny to care for their three children. The older girl will need medication in the morning and evenings but is a fun, happy and active little girl at main stream school. This is a Sole/Shared charge role. The family are looking for a nanny who is knowledgeable in child development and stimulation as well as someone flexible, bubbly and fun. There will be some proxy parenting as well as occasional travel with the family by arrangement. You will be responsible for maintaining routines and cooking healthy and nutritious meals for the little girls as well. Someone with small baby experience would be great as well for the little boy although with the maternity nurse who has just left, he is in a very good routine. The ideal candidate for this position would be someone with a passion for childcare as well as being able to use their initiative and someone who wants to stay with one family long term assisting in the upbringing of their children.

This lovely family are looking for a highly experienced nanny with a warm, very loving, motherly nature who will bond with their baby daughter and be someone their son, who can be quite shy at first, will feel comfortable with.

Mum is returning to work in July so the first few weeks will be spent settling in and building a relationship with the children.

The little boy is starting school in September so the nanny will need to bring him to and collect him from school on these days.

The successful candidate for this role will be someone who can show excellent UK nanny references with children of similar ages, and reflect a high level of sensitivity and loving nature. A fun-loving person who can build their son’s confidence before he starts school in September will also be greatly appreciated.

Hours will be 8am-6pm Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Salary is £10 per hour net.
