Nursery Nurse (Level 3) – Full-time – Guildford

We are currently looking for an experienced qualified Nursery Nurse to become part of our team at our Guildford Day Nursery in Surrey.

A CACHE Diploma in Childcare (level 3) or equivalent is essential, along with experience working with 0- 5 year olds, knowledge of observation and planning using the EYFS curriculum is also essential. You will be working with the 2-3 age group so experience with this age group would be ideal.

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, typically over 4.5 days.

Some of the Key Responsibilities are:

  • To provide high standard of quality within the nursery including the environment, resources and experiences offered to children.

  • Work with the Childcare and Education Advisor’s to continuously improve quality of childcare and education.
  • Be a key person carrying out all related responsibilities in building relationships with a small group of children and their parents.

Part-time Nanny 2 and a Half Days (Tues,Wed,Thurs)

Loving and energetic part time Nanny required for 10 year old, 7 year old who are both in full time school and 2 year old who will be starting nursery in September. Various classes in the mornings and out about to the the park.

Working hours are Tuesday (optional) from from 12-6:30 pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 8:20am-6:30pm.

Basic nursery duties only.

Family have a black labrador so Nanny must like dogs.

Nursery Manager

A great opportunity for an experienced nursery manager to join a nursery at an exciting period of change.

You will be someone who has excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to motivate staff to deliver high standards of care and education.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the nursery, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To Achieve and maintain high standards of care
  • To Effectively lead and manage the staff team, manage staff recruitment and retention
  • To effectively manage the budget and occupancy levels to ensure the nursery is profitable
  • To ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To Implement an effective parent liaison program

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • 3 years’ post-qualification experience and 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team

121 Teaching Assistant

This local Plymouth Primary school is looking for a Teaching Assistant to work on a 121 basis with a child in year 1. To be successful for this position, you will need to have demonstrable experience of working with children with complex behavioural issues and learning difficulties. You will also need experience of working in a mainstream Primary school.
The child in question is having a staged return back to school as he has been out of mainstream school for a while. Therefore, the position is on a part time basis to match when the child is in school.
For this position, you will need to have at least 6 months experience working in a primary school as a Teaching Assistant and also have experience of working with children with complex behavioural issues. You will also ideally have an NVQ level 2 or 3 in Support Teaching and Learning.
