EARLY YEARS PLAY WORKER – CHILDRENS CENTRE IN HAMPSHIRE

Hays Education is currently working with a Children Centre in Denmead-Hampshire. This children’s centre that work in partnership with an infant school in Denmead, are seeking an experienced play worker to start as soon as possible. This role will initially start on a temporary basis, but could become permanent for the right candidate.

To succeed in this role you will be required to undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Supervise and encourage safe imaginative, creative and physical activities.
• Help prepare and set out the play areas / setting before the children and young people arrive and tidy up after they leave
• Plan, provide and take part in all the groups’ activities. In addition to take part in special events, outings and visits if and when appropriate.
• Engage young people in a process of personal and social development through the after school programme.
• Support the development and implementation of a fully diverse holiday programme that meets the needs of the children and young people involved.
• Manage groups of children and young people, and be responsible for their care whilst they are participating in activities and holiday programmes.
• Ensure that all areas are kept clean and safe for children and young people at all times, reporting any concerns to the nursery manager.
• Advise the nursery manager of any matters requiring attention, such as concerns about a child or equipment

Skills & Qualifications

• Enthusiastic hardworking attitude
• Experience of working with a range of children aged between 0-5 in a children’s centre environment
• Have excellent knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and a NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
• Professional and personable in the work place
• Strong team player
• Bring fresh ideas to the children’s centre
• Have a flexible approach to fit around the needs of the centre

I have an exciting new vacancy for a Childcare Manager in Derby.

You will become apart of a children';s centre where you will manage the nursery.

Previous experience of working in health, social care, community development or early years is essential. The role is part time, 18.5 hours per week.

Your key responsibilities will include to lead a children’s Nursery hub and work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the children’s Nursery agenda, to be responsible for the day to day management of a Nursery, lead the delivery of the nursery activities and to promote best practice in integrated services for children and families and promote parental involvement.
