Nursery Manager – Guildford

We need an amazing Manager for this 80 place setting based in Guildford. The right candidate will have experience of Nursery Management built up over at least 5 years and will have significant expertise with the implementation of the EYFS Framework. The setting is of high quality with outdoor space and rooms which are well equipped. In terms of qualifications, the manager must be minimum NVQ3 in Early Years, but preference is for a relevant Degree or in the process of doing their Degree.

You will also need to have strong oral and written skills, strong leadership and supervisory skills, expertise with the National standards, expertise in implementing and developing the curriculum using EYFS, understanding of business financials, exceptional communicator and able to demonstrate sensitivity and awareness when communicating with parents and staff.

Full-time Live-in Sole-Charge Baby Nanny – Fulham £400-450+

Full-time Live-in Sole-charge Baby Nanny (will be 12 weeks) – Start Oct – Fulham – up to £450+ per wk net

A hard-working Mum (single parent) based in Fulham/Parsons Green London SW6 is looking for a live-in nanny ideally to work 5.5 days per week Mon-Fri plus Sat AM caring for a 12 week old baby girl on a sole-charge basis.

Mum is looking for a flexible person who does not mind proxy parenting overnight (and will be compensated for this) now and again when Mum has to travel with work. There is currently a maternity nurse in situ who is working to get the baby into a routine.

The ideal candidate will speak English as her first language, be easy-going, flexible, loving and responsible, with plenty of sole-charge baby nanny experience with checkable written references. We are also looking for a commitment of at least 2 years.

The nanny accommodation includes nanny’s own large bedroom with Sky+ box and flat-screen TV and ensuite bathroom. The house is spacious, on three floors, with a 40-50 foot garden, and is situated close to lovely Parsons Green.

Duties will include normal nursery duties and hours will be 7am-6pm Mon-Fri (plus ideally a few hours on Saturday morning). Salary will be £400-450+ pwn (negotiable depending on the candidates’ skills and experience). Additional babysitting and occasional proxy parenting overnight will be paid as extra.

Nursery Manger – Wembley

Our setting is a very modern purpose built 90-place private day nursery for children aged 4 months to 5 years open 8am to 6pm Mon-Fri.

Your role will include the following:

  • To maintain a good knowledge of child development and to keep up-to-date with the latest childcare policies and practices through training.
  • To share your knowledge and skills with other staff. To take responsibility for your training needs and to liase with the Operations Manager and Managing Director.
  • To be responsible for the management of the nursery in accordance with Company policies and procedures.
  • To plan and organise cover for staff holidays, sickness, and absenteeism in conjunction with the Operations Manager.
  • To meet and welcome prospective parents and children. To be responsible for show rounds, allocation of places, organisation of keyworker and phasing in timetable.
  • To oversee the planning, preparationg and evaluation of the children’s curriculum, activities and outings. To monitor these at all times and to ensure each activity is age appropriate.
  • To monitor child ratios and ensure that staff are aware of the numbers of children they are caring for at any one time.
  • To familiarise yourself with all relevant budgets (equipment, food, etc.) and to ensure that these are strictly adhered to and properly monitored. All expenses are to be cleared by management prior to expenditure.

Required Skills: Very good organisational and team building skills; Strong leadership style; Commercial awareness; Ability to identify and solve problems; Well-presented and well-spoken; very high levels of IT literacy; Good all-round knowledge of the day-to-day running of a childcare centre; Excellent interpersonal skills.

Required Experience: 2 – 6 years previous experience as a nursery manager.
