An excellent opportunity for a Senior Childcare Professional to work as part of a friendly and well established team in a nursery setting local to Ashford, Middlesex.

The successful candidate will work closely with Nursery Manager and Deputy to ensure the effective daily management of the nursery, whist being room based in the Under 2’s Unit (2 rooms to be managed by the successful applicant).

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:

  • You should hold an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent
  • Must have the ability to demonstrate a good working knowledge of Ofsted Standards and the EYFS.
  • You should be able to communicate effectively on best practice of care and education to both staff and parents and have good customer care skills.
  • You should be willing to be involved in a wide variety of tasks across the nursery, for example: recruitment, promoting inclusive practice, mentoring staff, teambuilding, assisting to deal with parent issues, conducting show rounds and much more.
  • The successful candidate will want to help develop others, as well as themselves, and should be prepared to undertake additional training and qualifications.

This high profile Bulgarian family based in Geneva is looking for a housekeeper/cook.

Western or Eastern European citizens preferred. Candidates without a strong experience as a cook will not be considered.

Language – English essential, French is an advantage.

Driving license is a must.

The position could be part-time or full time – depends on the availability of the candidates.

For full time the candidates should be ready to carry out other household duties as for full time there will not have so much cooking.

Salary – upon discussion.

Working hours – 4 hours a day for part-time and 8 hours for full time.

Preferred type of food – French, Italian, the family eats a lot of fish dishes, European dishes mainly.

Female preferred. Non smoker.

Unfortunately the family cannot provide live-in.

Daily Nanny

Islington, N1: Reliable, dedicated, experienced, nanny required for this lovely baby job. Driver not needed. Sole charge when mum returns to work after maternity leave. Monday to Friday, 8:30- 6pm. £450 net neg on qual & exp.

Loving, kind, easy going family require a sweet, warm, capable experienced nanny to have eventual sole charge of baby due in Mid March. Mum will be returning to work approx 4 – 6 months after the birth. The family are looking for someone who has extensive newborn experience who can work along side mum in the beginning and then who is confident to have sole charge when mum returns to work. An excellent communicator is key, as well as someone who is kind, with a genuine love and interest in children. Initiative is important in this role and someone who is willing to organise playdates and activities once the baby is a bit older. A driver is not needed in this role. All normal nursery duties will be completed and babysitting may be required by arrangement. The ideal candidate will be OFSTED registered or willing to do so. The position is located a short walk from the Angel and Islington tube stations. Mum will start interviewing in the New Year.

Nursery Nurses

Nursery Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced nursery manager looking for a challenge.

You will be joining a large setting and managing a large staff team. The role requires someone who has the ability to motivate and inspire the staff team. Delivery an uncompromising service to all the children and families with a focus on achieving an outstanding ofsted result.

You will have a genuine enthusiasm for training and development of people and the ability to develop excellent working relationships.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the nursery, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To Achieve and maintain high standards of care
  • To Effectively lead and manage the staff team, manage staff recruitment and retention
  • To effectively manage the budget and occupancy levels to ensure the nursery is profitable
  • To ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To Implement an effective parent liaison program

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • 3 years’ post-qualification experience and 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities
