Experienced, energetic and organised Nanny needed to work as a team with another Nanny who’s already in place and look after 4 month old and 2.5 year old boys. Family travel a lot to their other properties in France and Caribbean – at least once/month for a week or two, so you and the other Nanny will split the time you are away between you. Nursery Manager

This is a fantastic Maternity cover role for an experienced Nursery Manager.

You will be joining a great company and will help support this setting during a period of 6-9 months.

You will be someone who is passionate about achieving high standards and help maintain the work already achieved.

A proven track record in staff management is essential with an ability to provide evidence that you are someone who is able to lead the staff team in order to ensure that they are able to deliver excellent services to the children in their units.

You will have a genuine enthusiasm for training and development of people and the ability to develop excellent working relationships.

You will be responsible for the smooth running of the nursery, some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To Achieve and maintain high standards of care
  • To Effectively lead and manage the staff team, manage staff recruitment and retention
  • To effectively manage the budget and occupancy levels to ensure the nursery is profitable
  • To ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To Implement an effective parent liaison program

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • 3 years’ post-qualification experience and 2 years’ relevant supervisory experience
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to lead and motivate a staff team
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities

Your Key Responsibilities may include -

Act as Room Leader and to implement the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
Ensure your staff team provide high standards of care for the children.
Lead planning for the EYFS curriculum and maintain accurate records.
Ensure that your staff team are always aware of each child’s individual needs and that all children are kept safe and that the staff understand, and follow Child Protection Procedures.
Support the staff and supervise the staff with their day to day duties.
Be responsible for participating in all self-development activities including appraisals and supervisions.
Meet with the manager on a regular basis and report on individual children and staff
Meet with parents
Interview new staff with the manager
