A specialist primary and secondary PMLD (profound multiple learning disabilities ) and SLD ( severe learning disabilities) school in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea are looking for two specialist teachers for a September start. They are ideally looking for both teachers to be able to teach both primary and secondary levels with an advanced working knowledge of both profound multiple learning disabilities and severe learning disabilities. You must have good working knowledge of the national curriculum and UK based experience.
The school has a very dedicated management team and are a big investor in people. They support the staff through all aspects of teaching and on professional development offering onsite and external training to give all the staff the best opportunities to develop professionally.
Both the primary and secondary school’s are in two different buildings however they are based on one site. The school has just gone through some renovations where they have redone the hydro pool, sensory rooms and the soft play room. Some of the secondary classrooms have also had new equipment added. All the classrooms have the latest sensory equipment including hoists and interactive white boards. All classes have permanent learning support assistants, mainly three to four per class, this is dependent on the needs of the students.
As mentioned the school is based in the heart of Kensington and Chelsea close to both London over ground and local tube station, it is very accessible to central London and the surrounding areas.
