A largely popular Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulty specialist SEN school in Plymouth is looking to appoint a PMLD teacher to teach students across the Key Stages.
This position for a Teacher is to start in April and will be ongoing for the rest of this term with a view to possibly becoming permanent for September.
This SEN school in Plymouth caters for children aged from 3-19, meeting the needs for a range of children with autism, profound and multiple learning difficulties.
Applicants for this SEN teaching position must have experience and knowledge of working within Special Educational Needs. Some of the children will be in wheelchairs and require special medical equipment while others may be non verbal and use PECS and Makaton communication techniques. This is an excellent opportunity for an SEN teacher to develop teaching and learning at a school that has an excellent environment and facilities. The structures and systems used at the school enable their learners to achieve well and to enjoy their learning. The school has excellent transport links and the recent Ofsted report from 2008 says the school is “outstanding”.

We are looking for a Teacher who is committed to helping children reach their full potential. You will work well within a team and have excellent communication skills. You will also need to have experience in;

  • Working with Autistic children

  • Working to P levels through to GCSE

Care Staff for Children with Special Needs

We’re looking for dedicated staff to care for children who have special needs. Our clients have a range of disabilities, but we need staff with experience of the following:

Autism, Challenging Behaviour, Cerebral Palsy, Complex Health Needs.

We also expectyou to have experience working with children between the ages of 5 and 18 years of age.

Our shifts start from 2 hours before school, or 3 hours plus after school or on week ends and during the school holidays.
