Deputy Head Required for Post 16 Centre

A forward thinking and innovative EBD school located in the borough of Ealing has a current requirement for a senior management member to join their dedicated team as they expand their services to include a post 16 vocational centre.

This is an independent school and skills academy that provides a specialised education and training for pupils, who are experiencing difficulties in mainstream learning environments and social settings. This co-educational school currently provides full-time education for students aged 7-19 with special educational needs. From September 2011, the school will expand to take pupils aged 16+ on a separate site.
There are currently up to 50 pupils attending the school with a wide range of educational and behavioural difficulties which include:
 Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder
 Specific Learning Difficulties
 Emotional & Behaviour Difficulties
 Oppositional Conduct Disorder
 Aspergers Syndrome

This role requires a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to lead and manage the post 16 vocational centre. It is essential that the successfully appointed candidate is a great leader of people as well as a good team player. Previous experience within further education will be an advantage but is not a necessity for this position.

Interviews will commence early July and suitably interested candidates are encouraged to apply as soon as possible.

This site is easily accessible by both the Piccadilly and district lines as well as local buses and over ground trains.
