Early Years Foundation Stage Teaching Assistant Job, Greenwich, London

This Primary School in Thamesmead, Greenwich is looking for an early years teaching assistant to work within the EYFS in the reception class. This job is due to start in September 2011 and is a 1-year fixed contract.

This lovely primary school is looking for somebody who has a sound knowledge of the early years foundation stage curriculum and can work as part of the early years team.

Your duties will involve leading activities with children, working with them on a small group basis and providing 1:1 support.

You will support the class teacher in delivering a stimulating and happy learning environment for the children involving planning, carrying out observations and monitoring development. You will need to combine your early years experience with knowledge of Letters and Sounds, which is essential for this role. You should be confident with phonics and able to support literacy development.

To be considered for this Early Years Teaching Assistant Job in Greenwich you will:

• Have a minimum of 3 months experience working as a teaching assistant
• Have good understanding and experience of the EYFS
