Family want someone who can be discreet, support and guide them to look after baby. Position is live in, 6 days a week for 15 weeks.

This high profile, busy, semi formal family are looking for an experienced, adaptable, friendly, loving nanny-cook-housekepeer; to work in a team with the daily nanny and
to have sole and shared care of their two children. The household is fully staffed and a live in housekeeper is also employed so a team player is essential. The ideal candidate will be someone who is interactive, engaging, energetic, and active. The children love attending activities, the park and groups so someone who can organise and continue this is important. There will be an element of mucking in and helping out with household duties – healthy family cooking, helping with some cooking, helping with some housekeeping- unpacking and packing of cases. The family require someone who can travel with them extensively, probably every school holidays but shared with the live in nanny. An EU/British passport holder is desirable. A hands-on Junior Deputy Manager is required in a Nursery in Basingstoke.

This large Nursery requires a Junior Deputy Manager to work closely with the Manager and Deputy Manager to ensure the smooth-running of the Nursery. This is an ideal position for an experienced Room Leader or a Deputy Manager moving from a smaller Nursery.

You will require experience of showing new parents round the setting, demonstrating good practice to all staff, inducting new staff members into the Nursery and actively participating in staff meetings.

An ideal opportunity to gain invaluable Senior experience that will enable you to progress within your childcare career.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
  • Overseeing the planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum across all age groups
  • With the manager to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends specifically related to the relevant curriculum
  • To ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.

You will ideally need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
