Deputy Nursery Manager

This Deputy Nursery Manager’s position will require you to be flexible, organised and self-motivated.
If you have a passion for providing high quality childcare and are keen to develop your career with a company that prides itself on maintaining excellent standards, this is a great opportunity.
You will need to have an excellent knowledge of the EYFS as well as the ability to build good relationships with parents and staff alike.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
  • Overseeing the planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum across all age groups
  • With the manager to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends specifically related to the relevant curriculum
  • To ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.
  • You will ideally need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:
  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities.

Lovely professional family need a dynamic daily nanny near Bristol BS31, to look after their three delightful daughters currently aged 9 weeks, 2 and 4 years old. This position is primarily sole charge as Mum is returning to work in March 3-4 days a week and the eldest child is going to nursery part time. The ideal candidate will be a warm, loving, confident and competent nanny able to handle 3 very small children, giving Mum and Dad total peace of mind whilst at work. Happy to play and enjoy the great British countryside, as well as go to age appropriate groups, activities. Arrange play dates, get involved at school and generally provide all three girls with a fabulous and fun time! Nursery duties and a “muck in” attitude would be helpful, a cleaner is also employed. This job will be between 40-50 hours per week with some flexibility and possibly Wednesdays off and ideally a nanny who is looking for a long term commitment of 2-3 years plus! A driver is essential and use of a car can be provided although a nanny with their own car would be preferable and a mileage allowance would be paid.
