Room Leader – Watford

This is an outstanding opportunity for a dedicated and experienced Room Leader to join this well established Nursery. The room leader will be based in the Pre-School Room and the duties will include –

Provide quality day care to the children and ensure that they are safe, loved, stimulated and well cared for.

Responsible for planning and carrying out observation and assessments and writing reports.

Ensuring that my room is a safe and secure environment which provides a wide range of activities for the hildren. Ensuring the staff are adhering to this philosophy.

Guide and support staff, ensuring they maintain high standards, ensuring they plan for the children within the Early Years framework.

Responsible for developing strong relationships with parents and other childcare professionals.

Preparing the Nursery for marketing events and parents evening

Being available for Parents evenings, providing detailed feedback to parents about their children.

Working closely with the Nursery Manager to constantly review and improve the service offering for the benefit of the children

Full support and guidance will be provided by the manager and this is a real opportunity to put you own mark on the room and implement your own ideas.

Your duties will include-

Nursery Manager – Essex/East London

My client is a well established nursery who is looking for an experienced nursery manager to take things forward.

The nursery is a state of the art purpose built 76 place nursery with a large outdoor area, which children have access to throughout the day. Their last Ofsted inspection was good and they are looking for a manager to lead them to outstanding.

You must be an experienced and strong nursery manager with Level 3 in childcare and ideally hold or studying for a Level 4 in Management or BA in Childcare.

You should be commercially aware and comfortable working with budgets.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing the nursery’s finances including budgeting/payroll/advertising costs
  • Recruiting staff along with staff appraisals and remedial actions when necessary
  • Liaising with external bodies including Ofsted, local council etc
  • Leading and delegating a staff team
  • Implementing policies and procedures to ensure the smooth running of the nursery in compliance with EYFS, Ofsted & company procedures

This nursery is looking for an experienced manager who is target driven and has excellent knowledge of the curriculum.
