Deputy Manager – South London ( Zone 2 on Tube)

We are seeking to recruit a Deputy Nursery Manager, to join a leading Childcare provider. This is an opportunity to put in the foundations for your future move in to Nursery Management. The opportunities lie with two settings based in Central London. You must be very experienced and have excellent knowledge of EYFS. You are currently working as a Deputy Manager or a Room Leader and have qualified more than 2 years ago. Your responsibilities will include supporting the Manager with the following:

Ensuring the nursery achieves and maintains high standards of care,
Implement EYFS,
Assist with staff training and staff recruitment,
Support the manager in ensuring all health and safety policies are implemented, ensuring compliance with children’s act,
Ensure that staff are following guidelines laid down by Ofsted and the national standards, Your input with staff assessments, developing teamwork, organizing team meetings, Assist in all nursery administration and finance,
To liaise effectively with parents and carers,
Help drive occupancy with an effective marketing strategy

You will need to have at least a Level 3 qualified and have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience with at least 1 year in a supervisory role like room leader.

Registered Care Manager – Childrens Services

Our client is a growing organisation now with homes across the North West, The South West, The South East and the North of England. They are the biggest independent childcare provider in the UK with over 70 homes, 13 schools a therapy suite and an outdoor education centre. As the Registered Manager you will be accountable for delivering high quality care to the children and young people resident within the home as well as managing a team of 9 RSCW’ and 2 senior RSCWs. This means that you are responsible for delivery of all care services, as well as the strategic planning for developments within the home, and all day to day management matters. The succesful candidate will demonstrate the ability to build on the well established principles and practice standards existing within the organisation and proactively contribute to the continuous improvement of childcare standards across the company. As the Registered Manager you are responsible for delivering childcare that is focussed on obtaining the best outcomes for each child and young person within the home. Consequently, they are expected to demonstrate practical leadership in childcare, as well as organise and support staff to provide the best possible care for each child and young person. This involves being personally available, as well as the supervision and mentoring of staff, organisation of work patterns, facilitation of care focussed training, and accessing of appropriate services to support the childcare practices within the home.

Interested candidates MUST have at least 5 years Management experience within a similar setting, due to National Minimum Standards in Wales and have a minimum of an NVQ4/RMA. It is essential that you are a driven and committed individual and a driving license is essential for the role. The Manager would be expected to work 37 hours per week with the occasional oncall duty as and when required.

The post is subject to a six month probationary period. Annual leave is 25 days per annum plus Bank Holidays initially, with additional days following years of service. The company has a contributory pension scheme which can be joined following successful completion of probation period. A mobile phone is available. Mileage at an agreed rate is payable for business purposes. The post is subject to one months notice on either side other than for disciplinary or malpractice issues. The successful candidate will need to be approved by the appropriate statutory body. This will require full OfSTED/CSSIW registration in accordance with their respective conditions and timescales. Home Managers will need to be flexible in terms of their specific location.

Nursery Nurse

A Primary School based in Waltham Forest is looking to recruit 3 Qualified Nursery Nurses . You will be expected to support the class teacher deliver the foundation stage. You must be able to make learning play and encourage exploration through play.

This role requires someone with qualified nursery nurse status. You must have a strong knowledge of the foundation stage, excellent communication skills and be able to work well in a team. You must be able to work independently and assess and monitor child development.
The rate for the right candidate is £65.00 to £70.00 per day including holiday pay, and NI. It’s term time only – for two terms initially with the possibility of a permanent job at the end..

This role is ideal for those with:

  • An NVQ level 3 or above and equivalent
  • Hardworking, dedicated and reliable
  • Strong communication skills
  • A solid understanding of the EYFS, with the ability to work with children from the ages of 0- 5 year olds.
