Permanent – Full-time Live-in Nanny in Notting Hill

We are a happy, fun and busy irish-italian family with three children, boy 6½ , boy 4, girl 2, looking for a very experienced nanny/housekeeper and confident cook.

We live in Notting Hill and have a part-time housekeeper who comes three full days a week so housework duties are light. I work part time from home, so am around some of the time to help with the kids in the afternoons. Our current nanny has been with us for 6 years, since my eldest was born.

Requirements:

You must be a fluent English speaker able to help with some homework. IF YOU ARE NOT THEN PLEASE DO NOT CONTACT US.

We are looking for a fun, smart, creative, energetic, and friendly personality with a “can do”, flexible attitude who is confident with juggling the lives and activities of three children of different ages and different needs.

We are looking for someone who is organized and who will use own initiative to engage with the children, take them out to their various activities, organize play dates, play educational games, go for trips to the museums, do art work on rainy days etc.

You must be able to handle sole charge of the children and willing to proxy-parent on occasion, as my husband and I are sometimes away at the same time and we don’t have any family in England who can help.

You must be confident to shop (we live one block from Portobello Market) and cook for the children and the family, helping prepare food for the occasional dinner party using fresh ingredients.

The kids are all in school (9-12 the two younger and 8.30-4 the eldest), so we are looking for someone who is happy to help around the house with whatever needs doing when the kids are not around, ie laundry, ironing, making beds, tidying up, light cleaning, running errands, preparing food for the family etc.

We are away most school holidays so we are looking for someone who is happy to come with us most of the time and has EU citizenship/work permit.

Non-smoker, prior multiple-children childcare and housekeeping experience, have excellent checkable references and up to date CRB check.

Driving license not essential

LIVE – IN, 5 DAYS Mon-Fri, working hours 7am to 7pm, with 1/3 nights babysitting per week by prior arrangement.
Weekends generally free unless we are traveling in or out of UK.

We can offer you your own bedroom, en-suite bathroom, TV and wireless.
Competitive salary and perks neg. depending on experience and final hours agreed.

Many thanks
