Pre-School Room Leader

A fantastic Room Leader position within a lovely Nursery that will offer a warm and friendly working environment.
This position will involve managing a team within the Pre-school Room, ensuring the children are receiving high quality education and care as well as ensuring they are adequately prepared for school.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key part in the development of the Pre-school children, providing them with the skills to achieve at school and develop their social skills, while also working as part of the management team of the Nursery.

Some of your responsibilities as a Room leader will include:

  • To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment

  • To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
  • To lead the team in your room, providing day to day guidance for your staff where needed

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

Deputy Nursery Manager

Teddies Nursery have an excellent career opportunity for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join our lovely day nursery in Epsom.

This position is key to the successful running of the nursery as you will be relied upon to support the Nursery Manager with the day to day running of the rooms. You must have a minimum of NVQ3 in Early Years or equivalent, although Early Years Professional Status is preferred. Room Leader applicants must be qualified at least to Level 3, must understand how to meet the needs of these children and the expectations of their parents and must be passionate about working in Early Years.
As Pre-school Room Leader you will manage all aspects of your room, from the planning, to ensuring children are prepared for school, to staffing regarding ratios, staff deployment, recruitment etc.
This Nursery will offer you on-going progression and a supportive management team.

Previous Room Leader experience is desirable, but not essential.

Bi-Lingual French Nanny Urgently Required

Polished and professional French/English bi-lingual nanny required to care for B 5,3 and 2yrs with sole charge working M-F (7:00-19:00) and up to three nights per week babysitting. You must have plenty of energy and experience of caring for toddlers and school age children, happy to assist with homework, teach the children French, prepare good nutritious food and stimulating and creative activities. A confident driver is essential and a car for on and off duty is provided. Some travel will be required with the family throughout the year. Own room and bathroom provided.

Some essential requirements please before you make this call are

  • You must be over 18years of age.
  • Have a minimum of 6mths experience working with children 0-5yrs of age either as an au-pair/ nanny or babysitter/ childminder or worked in a nursery.
  • 2 letters of reference, written and signed by the parents of the children or the nursery manager.
  • Should be pro-active. energetic, good natured with cheery disposition and be able to ”get on with it” so to speak.NO time wasters/slackers please!

We also offer temporary ongoing assignments at different nurseries in and around London.

NB: You will need to bring the following with you to the interview:

  • Passport
  • 2 Passport photos
  • 2 Proof of address
  • 2 Letters of reference in childcare (see above)
