Room Leader

JOB TITLE

:Room Leader – Quetzal
ACCOUNTABLE TO
:Nursery Manager & Deputy Nursery Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. To manage the Quetzal to ensure operational compliance to the EYFS
  2. To plan appropriate activities, work and programmes for children in the Quetzal room in partnership with the Nursery Manager.
  3. In consultation with Room staff, to plan, prepare and carry out activities to implement the EYFS Curriculum.
  4. To ensure that children’s personal, physical, social, spiritual, emotional, cultural and moral needs are adequately addressed and to be actively involved in supporting children in their achievements of planned objectives and goals.
  5. To be responsible for the care, welfare, health, safety and security of children within the Quetzal room.
  6. To help supervise Quetzal room activities and routines, giving specific help to individual children to ensure that they remain focussed.
  7. To assist with the physical care of children within the Nursery.
  8. To assist with the preparation of resources and materials needed for planned activities.
  9. In consultation with Nursery staff to plan, prepare and direct the presentation of displays, ensuring that they stimulate vocal and receptive responses.
  10. To encourage the involvement of children and parents / guardians/carers in the curriculum and running of the Nursery in order to promote the child’s self-esteem. To undertake good and effective communications with all staff and parents / guardians / carers.
  11. To manage the care and maintenance of furniture, toys, equipment and resources.
  12. To monitor stock levels of consumables and to advise the Deputy Nursery Manager of any items required.
  13. To undertake the administration of First Aid, insofar as competence and training allows.
  14. To attend staff meetings, SEN reviews, and meetings with parents / guardians / carers as appropriate.
  15. To actively participate in Training Programmes, attending Professional Development activities as appropriate.
  16. To plan the assessments of, and prepare reports on, children’s work and development in the Quetzal room.
  17. To contribute to the social and extra-curricular activities of the Nursery and assisting with their organisation as required.
  18. To manage the cleaning and hygiene within the Quetzal room.

Nursery Manager

NURSERY MANAGER – WEST LONDON

This is not an average nursery manager’s position. This role is for an experienced Nursery Manager looking to work for a professional company. This nursery requires a manager who can ‘think outside the box’ and be able to manage a busy but stunning setting.

This nursery provides care and education for children aged from 03 months to 5 years. You will need to be an organised manager with the ability to guide and lead staff within a warm and supportive environment.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES FOR A MANAGER SHOULD INCLUDE:

  • To maintain and promote high standards of care
  • To ensure the nursery is financially successful
  • To effectively lead and motivate the staff team including recruitment and retention
  • To ensure all policies are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To work in partnership with the parents

YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:

  • An NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3, or equivalent qualification
  • Knowledge of the EYFS
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Financial management experience

St John’s Wood , NW8. Part Time Experienced, Knowledgeable, Developmentally focused, Flexible, Sole/ Shared Charge Nanny Required To Care For one boy aged 14 months. Start ASAP but the family are happy to wait for the right candidate. 2 Day per week (Flexible on days). 9.00am – 6.00pm. £90 net per day. Driver not required.

Friendly British family require an experienced, confident, warm and patient nanny to help care for their son who is 14 months old. The ideal nanny has relevant baby experience with excellent references, reliable, caring and loving personality with a warm friendly approach. Normal nursery duties, cooking healthy food, able to provide lots of stimulation, hold a muck in attitude, take him to classes and focus on development. Mum is currently at home and will be in and out. This position is Sole and Shared charge and requires a nanny who is happy to work in both situations. A driver is not required and Travel is possible by arrangement. The family would like a nanny who would be happy to baby-sit 1 night per week that will be arranged in advance and paid extra.
