Deputy Manager

Deputy Manager

An experienced Deputy Manager is required within this lovely Nursery located in High Wycombe.

You will work closely with the Nursery Manager to ensure both the continued smooth running of the setting and that the childcare and education is delivered to a high standard.

You will play a key part in maintaining the occupancy Levels within the Nursery as you will be a point of contact for both new and existing parents and will display a high level of commitment to providing excellent customer service as all times.

The successful applicant will have an excellent knowledge of the EYFS curriculum as well as previous experience supervising staff.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
  • Overseeing the planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum across all age groups
  • With the manager to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends specifically related to the relevant curriculum
  • To ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.

You will ideally need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities.

House Manager Needed in Chelsea Starting ASAP £1000 per Week

An experienced House Manager is needed for this busy family in Chelsea. The Family have moved into a brand new house. Flexibility is very important for this post as the family have 2 children who are 4 and 9, and also have a large dog. The House Manager will be in charge of all aspects of the running of the house, as well as having to have the flexible attitude to help with the children and the cooking as well as helping with the family pet. It is a five and half day week working Tuesday to Saturday and with a half day on Sunday.

This is an ideal role for a nursery manager who is keen to gain some progression. You will be responsible for the overall management of the nursery and delivering excellent standards of care and educations.

You will have previous experience of managing a 50+ place nursery.

You will develop very strong working relationships with all the staff, providing day to day guidance and support to ensure that the standards you have set are achieved.

  • Excellent knowledge of health and safety legislation
  • Knowledge of OFSTED standards
  • Excellent knowledge of the EYFS
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work to targets and deadlines
  • Good time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities/SENCO etc.
  • Previous relevant supervisory experience
