Wed-Fri Sole Charge Nanny

part time live out nanny is needed to have a sole charge of 1yo girl and 4yo boy

the boy goes to nursery at the moment for whole days therefore he will not be around at all during the day, but in September 2010 will start half day school – will need to be picked up in the afternoon and cared for until parents come home

this is a 3 days per week role – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 7.30am – 6.30pm
no extra hours required

this role is only for 1 year as the little girl will then start day care

mum is going back to work in the second half of July, therefore the nanny should start within the first half of July 2010

there are no pets within the household, cleaner is employed, driver is not necessary but automatic car can be provided if wanted for school runs (approx 30mins walk or shorter bus route), there is no travel involved
the family is looking for an experienced and active nanny who can give the little girl a quality one – to – one care
Ofsted registered nanny would be excellent
as well as Spanish or French speaker however this is not essential!

After School Nanny

After School Nanny required for two little girls aged 6 and 4, Monday to Friday, 2.45-6.45 during term time and full days during school holidays with some evening babysitting as well. Driver essential (family car – manual – available). Duties to include collecting girls from school in Putney, taking them home to Barnes, cooking tea, bathing the girls and getting them ready for bed; help with homework, organise play dates, take the girls to swimming and drama lessons; girls’ ironing, keeping the kitchen tidy.

The location for this role requires someone who is flexible with travel and able to manage a portfolio covering both London and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for overseeing the business and childcare management of a portfolio of nurseries, ensuring commercial success in line with the company’s vision and values. Driving the Nursery Managers in delivering a quality childcare service which is compliant with the OFSTED standards, meets customer’s expectations and maximizes opportunities to attract potential service users. You must provide strong leadership skills so that all are clear about what is expected of them and to create a momentum to realise the goals and targets for the portfolio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing a diverse staff team
  • Customer services – Customer relations & satisfaction, customer attraction and retention
  • Business management – To ensure all nurseries within your portfolio achieve financial targets, manage operating costs and ensure viability and profitability

The successful person for the role will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • The job holder must be experienced to effectively manage the financial and commercial aspects of a multi site business.
  • Must have relevant management experience in a customer related business and a sound knowledge of the national standards for day care. The job holder will also be required to have a sound knowledge of the children’s act.
  • The job holder must be PC literate
  • Must have a clean driving license as the job holder will be operating in a mobile environment.
  • The job holder must have strong management and leadership skills and the ability to prioritise a demanding workload in a dynamic and growing business.
  • Good financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets across a multi site business
  • Good numerical skills with the ability to interpret and analyse monthly management information including sales and occupancy targets
  • Must have people management experience with strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be able to analyse management information and identify key trends, issues

You will work within overall business objectives, procedures, and legal framework but will have a high degree of autonomy on how these are implemented and managed within their portfolio. They will be responsible for driving results and managing costs within their region and responsibility for implementation of AOP for region.
