Room Leader

An experienced Room Leader is required to manage an Under Two’s unit in this West London Nursery.
You will be responsible for overseeing two rooms and ensuring the needs of all children are met within the rooms.
This is a fantastic opportunity for you to manage your own staff team and make a real difference in the Nursery as you work closely with the Management team.
This position will require you to have a good knowledge of the developmental needs of these young children as well management skills and good inter-personal skills as you develop and maintain relationships with the parents within your unit.
This position will provide you with the experience required to step up to a Deputy Manager’s role in the future.

Some of your responsibilities as a Room leader will include:

• To ensure the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment
• To lead your team in order for them to plan, prepare and review the curriculum as a team reflective of the EYFS
• To work in partnership with the parents
• To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
• To lead the team in your room, providing day to day guidance for your staff where needed

You will need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

• Qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
• Have experience of working with children

full time live in nanny/housekeeper is needed for 2 girls (6yo and almost 8yo)

both girls are at school daily between 8.30am and 4pm therefore there is plenty of time during the day for the housework to be done (and cleaner also comes 1x per week!)
this changes during the school holidays and Saturdays when more childcare is required

mum works part time and is around some of the time – this is a mix of sole charge and shared care

the days and hours needed are : Monday-Saturday, 7am – 7pm, 2x per week babysitting
the nanny will get half day off (afternoon 1pm+) between Monday – Friday but is required to work full Saturdays!

some travel is involved (during school holidays), there are no pets within the house

accommodation – own bedroom with bathroom within the house

the family is looking for an experienced nanny who is happy to do housework and is looking for a long term position (previous nannies stayed for 2 and 3 years!) and is not a party animal!
