Live-in Full-time Nanny

Live in nanny for baby aged 7 weeks old. Mum is Chinese and they need a Chinese nanny (mandarin speaker) for 3-5 days per week. Maybe 3 days to start with and then 5 days per week. The hours would be 9-5 or similar. You must be experienced with babies and great with them. They are a very nice family.

Deputy Nursery Manager – Wanstead

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Deputy Nursery Manager to work in a bright and happy nursery in Wanstead.

The nursery is open 5 days a week, Monday to Friday. You will be required to work 40 hours per week.

The Deputy Nursery Manager is responsible to the Nursery Manager and their main duties will include:

  • Assisting the manager in the daily running and administration of the nursery. This will include, report writing, staff rota and holiday planning, producing parent letters and maintaining staff ratios
  • Keeping and monitoring accident, incident and risk assessment records
  • Ensuring confidentiality is maintained in the nursery
  • Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background
  • Supervision of staff, conducting regular staff assessments and one to ones – Also providing practical cover and assistance where necessary
  • Care and supervision of the children with regard to their physical, emotional and intellectual needs
  • Supervision of the planning and preparation of activities to develop all aspects of the child’s individual development in a stimulating atmosphere. Ensuring observation records are thorough and well maintained
  • Ensuring that the preparation, care, cleanliness and maintenance of the nursery playrooms, kitchen and equipment are carried out to high standard
  • Liaising with parents and dealing with any queries over observations and reports from their child’s key worker
  • Any other duties appropriate to the post as directed by the Nursery Manager.
