Nursey Nurses Required in North London

StaffBank Recruitment Ltd specialises in supplying staff to the Early Year Sector. We offer work in a variety of different settings including Pre-Schools, Children Centres/After School Clubs and Day Nurseries.

Currently we are recruiting for an experienced Nursery Nurse who is looking for a new challenge. The refurbished nursery is part of a large chain of childcare providers, and is located in a stunning Health Club in North London, just off the North Circular.

The management believe their team are the key to their success as they work hard to meet the needs for each individual child for whom they care. They are a team of dedicated individuals who are driven by the enjoyment and satisfaction gained from caring for children.

This setting has a welcoming atmosphere with a great deal of character where children always feel at home. The curriculum offered is a varied programme of learning through play which closely follows the EYFS curriculum. The nursery offers a safe, secure, stimulating environment which enables each child to develop to their full potential and at their own individual rate – all this carefully planned by the staff. The nursery caters for children from all cultural and religious backgrounds and offers a full day and crèche session.

The right candidate will have:

  • Minimum Level 3 qualification in a Childcare related subject
  • Minimum of 2 years experience from a similar position
  • Sound knowledge of EYFS and National Standards
  • The ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with children, staff and parents
  • The ability to be a flexible and enthusiastic team member
  • A good knowledge of what constitutes a healthy and safe environment for under 5`s

Your responsibilities will be:

  • To plan, prepare and review the curriculum with the team in your room reflective of the EYFS
  • To follow and implement all the policies and procedures set out by the nursery
  • To liaise with parents and surrounding team members, monitor progress, keep records and reports and communicate any suggested improvements that can be made to help the child`s development
  • To ensure the nursery’s philosophy is followed and enhanced at all times.
  • To ensure the welfare of the children in your care and act as a role model for the nursery with parents
  • Attending the staff meetings and contributing in a positive and constructive way

Dynamic young family in Berkshire RG7 need a live in nanny to look after their boy, girl twins who will be 4 months at the start. Monday to Friday 7am to 7pm with two nights of staying over and having the monitor once the maternity nurse leaves. Fingers crossed the babies will both be sleeping through the night at this point, however time off during the day be given if they are not. The ideal candidate will be a happy, smiley, friendly, down to earth country nanny. With a love of animals as the family have 2 small dogs and several horses. A team player who will fit in with the families other staff and muck in as needed is essential. You will need to have some flexibility but this will be a two way thing, as the family feel it is essential to ensure a good long term working relationship. Although qualifications are important experience is more relevant to this family, along with the right personality for their home on an ideally long term basis. There may be some travel in the future, so the nanny would need to be prepared to accompany them when the twins are slightly older. A driver is essential and a car can be provided most of the time. This position is primarily nursery duties and a mixture of sole and shared care. April 2010 start £350-£400+ per week net

Deputy Nursery Manager

This Deputy Nursery Manager’s position will require you to be flexible, organised and self-motivated.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • With the manager to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff

  • You will ideally need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • Post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
