Deputy Manager, Godalming

Deputy Manager


An interesting and varied Deputy Manager post within a lovely Nursery. This Deputy Manager position will entail working both within the rooms, ensuring the Nursery is delivering high standards of care and education and staff are deployed effectively and also within the office, maintaining paperwork, introducing new parents to the Nursery etc.
To succeed within this position you will have a love for your work with the Early Years, strong management skills, an understanding of basic accounts and Nursery administration and IT skills.

Previous Deputy Manager or Room Leader experience is essential for this position, as well as a good knowledge of Ofsted standards and the EYFS.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • To achieve and maintain high standards of care and education
  • Overseeing the planning and implementation of the EYFS curriculum across all age groups
  • With the manager to effectively lead and manage the staff team including recruitment and retention, providing day to day guidance, training and support to all staff
  • To keep abreast of current early childhood thinking/trends specifically related to the relevant curriculum
  • To ensure all policies and procedures are implemented and adhered to at all times
  • To implement an effective parent liaison programme, to be influential in developing strong links with parents.

You will ideally need to have the following qualifications, training and experience:

  • NNEB, CACHE level 3, NVQ level 3 or equivalent
  • Post-qualification experience and supervisory experience
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work deadlines
  • Knowledge and experience of OFSTED standards and EYFS
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong people management skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of equal opportunities.

Temporary Daily Nanny

St Johns Wood W9 – Friendly, Flexible, Easy-going Temporary Daily Nanny required for Shared Charge of Two children Boy aged 3.5 years and a Girl aged 8 months. Monday 10th May – Friday 21st May (With weekends off). Monday – Friday 8.00am – 7.00pm. £500 net per week

Lovely family require a team player to assist in the care of their two children aged 3.5 years and an 8 month old. The family are ideally looking for a nanny with working knowledge of children of similar ages. The nanny must be flexible, reliable, a team player and happy to listen to the parents wishes. The role entails nursery duties, preparing fresh and healthy meals, taking the eldest to nursery, taking the children to the park and the children’s laundry. This role is temporary as the families current nanny will be on holiday. The ability to take sole charge is also essential as and when required. Babysitting is possible by arrangement and paid extra.

Live-in Nanny

Caring, energetic, supportive nanny who loves travel required to care for twin boys 15 months with sole and shared care. Working M-F(07:00 – 19:00). This is a really involved role with frequent extended worldwide travel and responsibility for the boy’s daily activities. The ideal candidate will be highly organised with a ‘can do attitude’, good at establishing routines, happy to work additional hours where necessary and have previous experience of frequent travel with toddlers, and all that this might entail, with a relaxed and approachable manner. Some essential requirements please before you make this call are

  • You must be over 18years of age.
  • Have a minimum of 6mths experience working with children 0-5yrs of age either as an au-pair/ nanny or babysitter/ childminder or worked in a nursery.
  • 2 letters of reference, written and signed by the parents of the children or the nursery manager.
  • Should be pro-active. energetic, good natured with cheery disposition and be able to ”get on with it” so to speak.NO time wasters/slackers please!

We also offer temporary ongoing assignments at different nurseries in and around London.
