Maths Graduate to work as an Academic Coach

Hays Education currently have an Academic Coach vacancy, working in the Dartford area of Kent., We are looking for a specialist in Maths with excellent subject knowledge – of graduate calibre to cover a long term position in a secondary school based in West Kent.

You must be able to work with the more able individuals and groups of students to motivate and ensure adequate challenge, in order that students meet their targets and that any barriers to learning are overcome. You will work as part of a domain focused curriculum team, and be educated to at least A Level standard in mathematics.

You will be working on a one to one and small group basis with secondary school pupils, You will be observing strategies and techniques, making observations and suggest changes to approach whilst providing encouragement as you implement new ways of learning.

The skills we look for in our Academic Coaches include:

• Have solid subject knowledge – University graduate specialism Maths
• Strong classroom management skills
• Flexible and adaptable approach to work
• Willingness to promote learning
• Innovative and resourceful learning support methods
• Own transport is preferable but public transport is no bar to work A qualification in Maths and the desire to coach and mentor secondary pupils is a must .

Full time sole charge live in Nanny required for a high profile family based in Athens, Greece. Working as part of a fully staffed household, so the nanny will have help with other duties such as cooking/laundry etc. The Nanny will be required to provide sole charge care for one little girl aged 10 months old. All normal nursery duties required. Hours will be from 8am to 8pm and the nanny will work 5 days a week although these will be on a Sat and Sun too so nanny will have two days off in the week with the occasional over night cover required.
